Since she was a little girl, Leeloo always loved coloring, drawing flowers, search for images in clouds, and stories and beautiful tales from all around the world. A little older, she wanted to be a botanist, to travel around the world... and to draw flowers.

A stay in Canada opened up new perspectives. She tried her hand at different media: photography, printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpting, sculpture, land-art... Back in France, she took courses in a school of Applied Arts and was out 4 years later, graduated.

After brief forays into the publishing and communication worlds, she decided to devote herself to painting .... and took the pseudo "June Leeloo", a wink to Louis Malle's movie "Milou en Mai"("May Fools"). Incidentally, she sometimes uses "Leeloö in Jüne".

Her influences are many and varied. Asian literature (Yasunari Kawabata), Japanese animated movies (Hayao Miyazaki) and manga of the 80's, but also music, comics, Art Nouveau, posters of the Belle Epoque, etc. ... She also admires great masters such as Klimt, Mucha, Schiele, Claudel, Khalo and many impressionists (Caillebotte and Cassatt particularly). Not to mention the sculptor Pompon.

The women represented are sensual, even kindly erotic but still they are mysterious, have an air of melancholy, or are lost in their thoughts. They are almost always associated with a flower or, more recently, an animal.

Martin K. Bulinya was born on 21 July 1961 in a village called Moiben near Eldoret, Kenya.

Bulinya has worked as freelance illustrator for the Kenya Times and True Love magazine, as well as working for the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC) as stage and scene designer.

Bulinya is a very prolific artist who's work tends to be simple, yet with a mass 'African' appeal. The paintings shown here are caricatures of the Maasai people in a variety of stances and formations. Almost all of the works are either painted or mounted on hardboard, and exemplify true fun and interesting African art! Many of the paintings have very complex detailing into the material worn. His characters take dramatic poses, giving each one an effective emotion - you can almost hear some of the characters talking to each other!

Myoe Win Aung art

Myoe Win Aung was born in Myanmar's capital city Yangon in 1972. He started painting in 1989, and then studied at the State School of Fine Art in Yangon graduating in Painting in 1992. To improve his understanding and techniques, he also studied under the master artists U Lun Gywe, U Kyaw Lay, U Mya Aye and U Thit Lwin Soe.

He now works as a full-time artist and his preferred mediums are water colour and oil, his themes drawn from the daily life in Myanmar with monks and nuns, buffalo carts in the rain, and scenes of family at work and play.

Michael Garmash was born in Lugansk, Ukraine, 1969. He began painting at the age of three; by the age of six he started his formal education at the Lugansk Youth Creative Center. His works were sent by his teachers to a variety of Exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. In 1987, he graduated valedictorian from the Lugansk State Fine Art College and started teaching there the following year. In 1996 he graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Art at the head of his class.

Inessa Kitalchik was born in 1972 in Lipetsk, Russia. Since early childhood she has excelled in ballet, gymnastics and music. Inessa attended classes in all three disciplines and after graduating from music and ballet school, entered the Lugansk Fine Art School at age fifteen. At seventeen she was accepted as that year’s best undergraduate to the Lugansk State Fine Art School.

Andrew Atroshenko paintings

His paintings of women are amongst the most sensuous I have ever seen.

Andrew Atroshenko was born in 1965 in the city of Pokrovsk, Russia. Accepted as a gifted child in 1977 into the Children's Art School, Andrew graduated with honors in 1981.

Two years later, Atroshenko entered Bryansk Art College, and in 1991 was accepted at one of the most prestigious art schools in the world, the St. Petersburg Academy of Art.
In 1994, Andrew began taking part in exhibitions such as St. Petersburg Artists in Reutlingen, Germany, the exhibition of a group "Academy" in St. Petersburg (1996), and "Teacher's memory" (1997).
After graduation from St. Petersburg Academy of Art in 1999, Andrew was invited by a New England, US based art group "Bay Arts" to take part in their exhibitions and activities, spending that entire year in the United States into the Millennium.

In 1992 Atroshenko married a fellow student, Maria, who is now an art critic in St Petersburg, Russia, and has a daughter named Alexandra. Like many artists, Andrew has his artistic references and influences, but his wife and daughter are the inspiration for his passion.

Natalie Shau amazing art

Natalie Shau is illustrator and photographer from Lithuania (Vilnius). She works mainly in digital media and Natalie’s works are mixture of her photography, digital painting and 3D elements. She enjoys creating surreal and strange creatures, fragile and powerful at the same time. Natalie’s style was influenced a lot by religious imagery, fairytales illustrations classic horror literature and Russian classic literature such as Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Gogol etc.

Natalie Shau constantly keeps working on her own personal artwork and exhibitions, but also enjoys creating illustrations for music bands, fashion designers and writers. Her illustrations for Lydia Courteille jewelry campaign were published in french VOGUE magazine.

Hans Christian Andersen drawings

Hans Christian Andersen - I loved reading his stories when I was a child. Black ink on white paper was enough to move me into another world.

Although he did master all the different genres in literature - poetry, prose and drama - the Danish author is most known as a fairy tale author through out the world. It is less known that the author's artistic field was not limited to the written word. Hans Christian Andersen also used paper for drawings and paper cuttings.

The major parts of Hans Christian Andersen's drawings were made during his journeys in Europe and Asia Minor - especially the journey to Italy 1833-34 and the journey to Asia Minor in 1840-41. After this period it seems that the author lost the interest in drawings. In his diaries, in which Hans Christian Andersen often mentions scenarios worth drawing, one can - in a certain extend - follow the decline of the activity of this kind of artistic enterprise.

The typical drawings by Hans Christians Andersen were made on small scraps of paper easy to carry around in the pocket. Normally he made his first sketch with a pencil for later on to brace up the impression with ink. One could assume that the purpose of the drawings was to withhold scenarios as souvenirs, but in fact Hans Christian Andersen used his drawings as detailed notes for his writings. Thus there is a connection between the drawings and Hans Christians Andersen's way of writing, and the stylistic development in the drawings could be seen as equivalence to the authorship.
